HD is a type of engraving of the digital plate that combines high resolution laser writing with the application of state of the art printing screens to increase the tonal range that can be reproduced in flexo.

Flat Top means that the plate screen point has a flat head, and not a round one, like in the digital or HD ones.

FHD FULL HD identifies a process of construction of the flathead plate.

It is obtained from the Esko UV in Line technology that it is a type of exposure of the post-ablation digital plate. To achieve stability in the minimum dots printing of the screen and to increase the tonal range that can reproduced in flexographic printing, the FULL HD system combines high resolution laser writing with the application of state-of-the-art printing screens with the vacuum effect achieved by oxygen inhibition allowed by exposure to powerful LED rays to increase the tonal range that can be reproduced in flexo.

Cost is formulated according to the size of the plate and the number of colours.

File verification is needed to know if the digital material complies with the pre-pressing processes. The analysis of the starting requirements facilitates and speeds up the execution of the order, making sure time is not wasted and the final result is ensured.

The ideal format for pre-press processes are files in vectors, with fonts converted to trace and attached, and with high-resolution images.

For printing processing, the suitable format is high-resolution PDF, not protected by a password (to create this type of file, it is possible to use page layout programs such as Illustrator, Indesign).

PDF x3-2002 is the recommended format, but all PDF versions are acceptable.

Suitable choices are Raster files of the saved photos or images in real size and native resolution of 300 dpi.

For printed on transparent or aluminium supports, build a level in the file and create areas where there must be white.

If you do not have a calibrated monitor and colour profile of the printing machine, it is not possible to realistically display the print effect of a file.

It depends on the type of packaging and on the dimensions and quantity of parts to be produced.

For a few pieces flatbed is preferable, to reduce costs. Rotary if there are several pieces to be printed.

The number of poses depends on the maximum size of the machine used and on the quantity of pieces to be produced.

The most commonly used materials are corrugated cardboard with various thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 10 mm, flat cardboard and carton-plast.

For plates, 23.80 mm blades, for rotary dies, 23.80, 24.50, 25.40 mm.
For fold threads, the height varies depending on the material to be processed.
